its BASKETBALL time!

Both Lex and Adre are playing basketball, on different teams, of course! So we are spending A LOT of time in the bleachers. But this year is awesome, cause we are NOT on RSV lock down!!!! The past 2 years we have had to keep the babies corralled in a stroller and not allow anyone near them to avoid as much germs as possible. But not this year. We don't even use a stroller anymore. They walk right into the gym and up the bleachers to their seat. And they actually do pretty good at sitting for the 2 hours it takes to watch both bubas play.
The first couple pics are from the first game. And sorry the pic quality is horrible. My cell phone camera suddenly developed these green lines across the screen. I didn't know what was going on. I actually called tech support and had a new phone sent cause they thought it might be a software issue, but in the meantime I stopped into the local store and was informed that my phones memory was more full than they had ever seen. Yikes! So once I deleted some old text messages (I had never deleted any, ever!), some apps, etc, my camera seems to be functioning just fine.
Anastasia, Ashton, Bella, Aiden, Allee sitting in the bleachers reading books.
So this is another game. It was an away game that was an hour away, so our bleachers had plenty of empty space. So I strategically sat us up in an area where no one else was sitting. We had the entire section to ourselves. Then a daddy and this little girl sat down below us. She ventured up a couple rolls to check out the little squad. They were so intrigued. It was so cute how all 5 of them lined up and just stared at her.
Then they moved in a little closer...
 and a little closer...
 and more closer...
till they were surrounding her. Allee was even petting her. It was as if they had never seen another toddler before. And I might add, that she kept backing down, and backing down til she was sitting next to her daddy and my littles just kept moving in on her. But before long they were just all playing together. I guess that was her induction into the 'squad' hehehe.
Even though it is more work to go to ball games 2-3 evenings a week, I am really glad the little squad are growing up watching their big bubas play. I think it really gives them the sense that they are a part of a larger family, that life is about each member of our family, and we must support each one in the things they do. And I really do love that.
