The holidays are a time to revel in the gratitude and love we feel for one another. Christmas is a time for families, friends and loved ones to come together. It also affords a rare opportunity to freeze such social gatherings in time by building long-lasting traditions. The traditions people value are what anchors them in their family. Christmas is about so much more than presents and parties, it's about solidifying family bonds with traditions that tie us together for generations to come. Family traditions should bring families together to celebrate the holidays, not cause additional stress. Christmas has become a stress for some, and financial hardship for others. Where there used to be a holiday, to celebrate Family, we have some how lost touch with our roots, and a meaningful soulful Christmas.
I would love to hear how you create the holiday magic, make time for family, reduce the stress of the holiday season, your favorite family traditions or anything else you would like to share that you enjoy about the holiday season. Thank you.

Every year we spend the sunday before Christmas with my family and Christmas Eve with my In-Laws. Since my In-Laws live across the street, I usually make up some excuse to go home and I put the presents under the tree and go back to their house. When the kids come home and see the presents they are very excited and we tell them Santa made an early stop for them. They have gotten to old for it this year, but we may continue it next year for Malia. Christmas Day is just the 5 of us playing with all the new things. And usually a past tradition has been to make a trip to Pennsylvania. This year we planned on going over New Years weekend for 4 days, but they are expecting a foot of snow, so our plans have been cancelled.
