If there is one thing I learned on my weekend trip it is that I need a way to transport all 5 of my toddlers at the same time. I am looking at different stroller options and would love any experienced input.
I know that Runabout makes a 5 seater but in light of recent events (see previous post) I don't think I want it. Step 2 makes a choo choo wagon that can be extended to 5 cars that seems like the perfect solution. However, I'm concerned about being able to transport it in my BAV. Also, how feasible is it for getting around. For example, how easily can you maneuver around in stores, including fitting into dept store elevators? Are there other options that I am not aware of? I would appreciate your input.

I don't know if you can fit five in it, but my transportation of choice was the Radio Flyer All Terrain wagon. It fit in the back of my Suburban, was easy to maneuver through stores and didn't receive the same stares that a Choo Choo does. I was very sad when my girls became to heavy to pull in that wagon!
Have you looked into the Angeles SureStop Folding Commercial Bye-Bye Stroller - 6 Seat? I don't know anyone that has it, but it seems a lot like the foundations I have. Good luck! I think having 5 wagons would be too big for a store.

I love the Choo Choo for walks, going to the parks, zoo, etc but it is not at all mall friendly or elevator friendly. I can't manuveur it into the elevator alone but the Runabbout is difficult there too with 4 seats, nevermind adding another seat to it.
Hi, we have the Step2 Choo Choo wagon for our quads. Its great for using it outside, taking a stroll down the street or park. Its also good if your taking a trip to the Zoo or something. But its not easy to turn around, and does take up alot a car space. We could get all 4 cars in the back of a Toyota Sienna mini-van. I'm not sure if we could get 5 in though. We did take it once to mommy's school, and pulled it around inside. That wasn't fun, cause i needed the whole hallway to turn around and everyone was gathering around to see the kids. So i wouldn't recommend getting it to go indoors, it goes great forward, but you can forget about trying to backup.
Personally I liked my choo-choo for limited activities & for a very short while. I hated that it had no shade or storage...not even a place for a diaper bag gets annoying. I also found it SUPER annoying that the kiddos couldn't sleep in it, like they can a stroller. It was also so heavy once the kiddos got to be over 20 lbs that I didn't even use it if there were going to be hills where we were going. It's very hard to maneuver around in stores & I cannot even imagine adding the 5th car...no thanks!
Having said that...I loved it for doctor's visits...we just parked the choo-choo outside of the examining room. I loved, loved, loved it for parades and walks around our neighborhood...it's really flat.
I had a love/hate relationship with my choo-choo. I always wished I'd purchased a used runabout instead...but the grass is always greener, right? ha! I sold mine this past summer...it was just way too heavy once I put 4 babies in it anymore so I only got a little less than 2 yrs out of it. Hope this helps! =)
Does anyone know anything about the Angeles Surestop Bye Bye 6 seater stroller? I have never even heard of this one, so thank you JB! The seats look like such a tight fit, like there wouldn't be much room for them. So I'd love to hear from anyone who has actually seen this one.
I worked at a daycare, wherewe had two of these SureStop folding stroller. They are quite long, think 3 double wide mclaren strollers in front of eachother. We mainly used it with our kids 12mth to under 3 years. I thought the kids had plenty of space, and it was great that they recline for the kid that falls asleep. It is not exactly the easiest thing to turn around because it is so long. I myself have never seen it closed as we kept it in the outside closet of the daycare.
We also had these, it only sits four children but its much more compact http://adventurebuggycompany.com/quadbuggy.htm
perhaps you could add a buggy board for BG
I have the foundations and mine kick each other and pull each other's hair and everything else. Seems like the 6 seater would be close to the same.
the runabout will give you the most mobility for the longest amt of time, what is 'in light of recent events' regarding it?
